Miguel Amaya tried framing pitch that bounced in dirt

Miguel Amaya might have been practicing his pitch framing. Or he was being sarcastic.

Or! There’s a possibility that the Chicago Cubs catcher just tried framing a pitch from Kyle Hendricks that bounced in the dirt and into his glove, an attempt to fool the home plate umpire into calling a strike on it. There’s no harm in doing that! Why not try! We’re years away from robot umps! (Are we?)

Still, it’s pretty funny to watch the video shared by Rob Friedman (@PitchingNinja). Amaya just holds his glove there after catching the pitch.
